From Upper New York Annual Conference of the United Methodist Church
When the Conference closed its Media Resource Center in Amherst in September 2012, there was concern about where churches in the Niagara Frontier District would go to borrow materials.
Would churches utilize Upper New York’s remaining Media Resource Center in Endicott (Binghamton District)?
To help make the transition, the Conference partnered with the Presbytery of Western New York’s Resource Center in Buffalo.
It turns out that “many churches in the Niagara Frontier District have made a nice transition over the past year to the use of the (Upper New York) Media Resource Center,” said Diane Miner, Media Resource Center director.
In light of that, the Conference is ending its partnership with the Buffalo center as of Sept. 1, 2013. All of the resources currently on loan from Upper New York will be donated to that center and remain available for use there, Miner said.
Churches that wish to continue to utilize the Presbytery of Western New York’s center are asked to form their own memberships.
