Another Amarillo Presbyterian church has voted to leave its embattled mainstream denomination in favor of a more conservative doctrine.
On May 18, the congregation of Westminster Presbyterian Church voted 192-1 in favor of dissolving its relationship with Presbyterian Church USA to pursue membership with ECO, A Covenant Order of Evangelical Presbyterians.
Westminster’s decision to leave PCUSA was due to a number of issues accumulated over the years, said the Rev. Clay Brown, pastor of Westminster Presbyterian Church.
“This is something that predates me,” the pastor said. “There have been concerns about the Presbyterian Church USA and its direction for at least 20 years.”

One can feel the real pain when this happens. In todays rapidly changing secular world, we need a strong Body of Christ not a weak one. We need to dive into God’s Word and take it seriously .God’s Word will be our rock and foundation.
