Carmen Fowler LaBerge, president of the Presbyterian Lay Committee, says every Christian is challenged with the question: How do I articulate my faith in a way that is honest to the scriptures from which I get those beliefs, and yet enters into intelligent, civil discourse with neighbors who clearly disagree with me?
LaBerge, Carmen Fowler (Presbyterian Lay Committee)”That is the experience I continually have in my position, and it is what we view as the unique gift we can give to the larger church in terms of equipping everyday lay people for those conversations,” she says.
“It doesn’t matter what denomination or non-denomination you are a part of. If you are having conversations in the culture today, and even in the church, you need to be able to articulate biblically faithful answers to very difficult questions.”

Dr. Albert Mohler, the president of the Southern Baptist Theological Seminary has addressed this very issue in his latest blog. His article is termed: “Biblical Theology and the Sexuality Crisis” In my opinion, it is very much a worthwhile read!!
