Join Franklin Graham in Washington, D.C. and Christians around the world in praying for the American pastor imprisoned for his faith.
It has been almost two years since Pastor Saeed Abedini, an American citizen, was unjustly imprisoned in Iran because of his faith in Jesus Christ.
It’s been two years without freedom, two years of his children being without a father, and two years of his wife Naghmeh diligently working to gain support from American and international governments for his release.
But it has not been two years without hope. Pastor Saeed wrote in a letter that a huge encouragement to him while in prison is knowing “that in my chains the body of Christ has chained together” in prayer. Nagmeh told the Samaritan’s Purse staff last year that the Gospel is being advanced through persecution.
Samaritan’s Purse President Franklin Graham, who will speak at a prayer event in Washington, D,C., on Sept. 25, maintains close contact with Naghmeh, helping her bring awareness to the plight of her husband.
