If you’re looking for an official or even unofficial response from the Presbyterian Church (USA) to the revelations about Planned Parenthood’s grotesque treatment of human fetuses, manipulation of medical procedures that put pregnant women at risk in order to preserve parts on order, or the crass focus on making money off other people’s misery, you’ll have to keep looking. Like other mainline denominations whose pro-choice advocacy has included support for Planned Parenthood through the Religious Coalition for Reproductive Rights, the PCUSA is remaining mute in response the growing evidence of PPacts butchery.
The Stated Clerk of the General Assembly and the Director of the Office of Public Witness issued statements supporting the Iran deal within hours. But thus far there’s nothing from either of them on Planned Parenthood. Maybe more disturbing is the failure of other entities, agencies and advocacy groups within the PCUSA to speak up. Nothing from Compassion, Peace & Justice; nothing from the Advisory Committee on Social Witness Policy; nothing from the Advocacy Committee for Women’s Concerns; nothing from Presbyterian Health, Education and Welfare Association; nothing from Women’s Leadership Development & Justice Ministries; nothing.
What stands in the place of a life-affirming response to the ongoing revelations about Planned Parenthood’s practices are statements of Presbyterian celebrations of the abortion provider.

The most simple reason is usually the most correct. Follow the money, for 35 years PP has been a provider of choice for the Board of Pensions medical plan for termination services.
Through various denominational agencies and lobbying efforts though its associations with other pro-abortion religious organizations both appropriated and non-appopriated funds I am sure found its way to PP engaged advocacy and causes. The BOP data on the former is well accessible in the public domain, the latter just ask the PCUSA supporters.
So no asinine pronouncements from louisville on this, oh there’s a shock!
Is there even an inch of separation between PCUSA leadership and the Democrat party? PCUSA = MSNBC, right down to the declining viewership.
So the Layman cannot handle the truth. A lie is a lie.
Jim, please help me understand what you mean. Are you accusing Carmen of deception? That is a serious matter. What is the basis of your charge?
We left our PCUSA church. We left for so many reasons. But this is incredible disturbing. I have known for year that PP was an organization bent on murdering the unborn. But these new videos unleash an unthinkable horror.
I heard the voice of the Lord, saying, Whom shall I send, and who will go for us? Then said I, Here am I; send me.
Yes, Jim….do YOU even know what you are trying to say here?! What is the “lie” here?… Even PP doesn’t deny the relevant facts…they are just attacking the messenger…which was predictable.
Jim; your trolling posts are pitiful, especially on a Christian site. The producers of the videos are doubling down, talking freely with the media (mainline media is freaked out), talking with federal officials and Congressional elected members. The video ‘shines a light’; get the pun? Does that anger you? Much more to come.
So how many PCUSA ministers will decry the PP’s ghoulish practice without waiting for Louisville to offer “guidance?”
Another illustration of PCUSA priorities.
it is disappointing that there is not a voice from the PCUSA condemning
the actions of Planned Parenthood. There are too many voices that give the “OK” for abortion in our culture.
But equally disturbing is the missing message of forgiveness for all who repent from having had an abortion. I believe there are many, many women (and men partners) who sought relief by having an abortion.
There is a lot of hurting people caught in shame and guilt, or people who suppress the truth to absolve the guilt. It does’t work because inside people are in pain from their choices. The Gospel clearly mandates confession of sin, and abortion is a grave sin, and then leads people to Jesus death on the cross for our sin. Unconfessed sin is a sickness on our society that goes beyond abortion and must be preached!
So much for the “Presbyterian Values” series offered on the denomination’s News and Articles webpage!
One of the many reasons I left the PCUSA after 25 years. I simply could no longer stay affiliated with an organization that has no respect for Scripture or life……
The pcusa is planned murder hood, the sons and daughters of the devil awaiting final judgement in the lake of fire. Rev/ 20.

Close your eyes and what do you see???
I wrote to them in a private message on their Facebook page and have received nothing in response. It’s all about the “Big Tent” on their page.
All in the name of “choice” This is the true and real “war on women”.
Now more than ever, we need to get down on our knees and ask God for forgiveness.
I’ve remarked on PCUSA’s peculiar silence in response to several PCUSA tweets on unrelated topics. It amazes me that the Stated Clerk will comment on almost any political topic but this one. It really does seem cowardly to ignore this one issue.
This current round of purging the church conservatives may have pretty well concluded the 100 year agenda. The Modernists are firmly in control of the church, its wealth, and what prestige is left in the brand. In fact, the term “modernist” can be retired. From here on out, if a position does not serve the Agenda, don’t expect to hear from the PCUSA. In the central state agenda, human bodies and the souls attached to them are state property. Those of us here who hold that opinion could provide example upon example, time and space permitting.
