National Day of Prayer
4/26/2010 3:10:22 PM
Please be in prayer for the National Day of Prayer observance on May 6. The event was created by Congress in 1952, and invites people from all faiths to participate. However, a federal judge on April 15 ruled the observance unconstitutional, claiming that it violates the separation of church and state. The judge will not enforce the ruling until the appeals process is complete – so the National Day of Prayer will go on as planned.
Is your congregation planning a National Day of Prayer observance? Post your event to this blog so we, and our readers, can join you in prayer.
