actually reconciliation means you need to accept our view or seek another church home. Don’t even think about taking your property, we will be taking that via our sham of a trust clause to fund the pensions of all the liberal pastors who cannot find a paying gig.
Rather than grieving over an obviously apostate church let us take heart that while Rome fell and the Dark Ages set in the Christian flame continued to burn in Ireland waiting for the next revival.
The PCUSA is a dying denomination because of this nonsense. “Reconciliation” is nothing more than an effort by some people in the PCUSA to hold on to the traditionalists and their money and property in order to remain viable. The answer is no. We traditional, real Presbyterians and Christians must leave what is a corrupted, rotting “denomination” that in reality is an anti-Semitic left wing political organization.
Titus 3:10 says, “Warn a divisive person once, then again. Then have nothing to do with them.” I have been so warned. I have officially resigned as the principal accompanist of a PCUSA congregation, and will have nothing more to do with the PCUSA. I do love the precious people in the pews who have been oblivious to this change. If you serve in a church, regardless of your capacity, make sure you are contributing your talents and work to a Christ centered church. As one writer put is, the lampstands have been removed. Don’t just walk away, RUN, and take as many believers with you as possible. The have church in your living room if you have to. But get on your knees and draw near to the Lord, so he will draw near again to you. Amen.
No, “reconciliation” in this case means, that, although we disregarded church teaching on this issue for decades, now that we’ve gotten the GA result we dissembled to achieve, the substantive conversation is over.
Your lack of compassion speaks volumes of you, but I hope not of all others on your side of the debate. You’ve won the battle for now. Can’t you be conciliatory as Christ has been toward you?
There are serious spiritual implications to the feckless decisions of GA in this matter. But this reminds me ever so much of the thought that the Scot’s Reformation began to falter when elders quit carrying their basket-hilted broadswords to session meetings at the kirk! What a sorry situation, our LORD will sort it out, and woe to the prevaricating presbyters. Shame on us all! God will not be mocked for long.
I have a question. Do I leave now or wait one year for the final blow.? No one in our church evens mentions it like if we dont acknowledge it, it doesnt exist.
The nefarious extortionists at the PC(USA) care not about building God’s Kingdom – they only want the millions they can wrest from our good Christian brothers and sisters by perverting the unbelievably naive gift to the PC(USA), trustingly granted by each individual congregation, of their church real property at the formation of the denomination. It is obvious that these extremists will stop at nothing to further their destructive progressivist causes.
We must trust in God’s judgment. These vermin will know His wrath.
I can’t imagine that congregations won’t be leaving in droves. Is there any hope that perhaps the PCUSA will become much more gracious in separation and will allow us to leave peacefully and with little to pay for property?
We left over a year for the PCA, The Presbyterian Church in America. We miss all of our old friends, but we are listening each week to the Word of the Lord presented unashamedely in expository form. We would love to have you join us.
The Presbyterian Church in America (PCA) would be a good move. Decades ago I saw the writing on the wall in the UMC and Presby US and joined a non denominational Bible church. Too much socialism in many of the denominations.
“I can’t imagine that congregations won’t be leaving in droves.” Well said, Celia. Mat. 8:32: “And when they were come out, they went into the herd of swine: and, behold, the whole herd of swine ran violently down a steep place into the sea, and perished in the waters.”
Sorry, Ceilia!
“Swine” in this case are reformed Christians, who are pigs in the eyes of the Jews, since we have no qualms about eating pork (pig meat). We leave the denomination in droves and immerse ourselves in the life-giving water that the Lord provides. John 4:14: “but the water that I shall give him shall be in him a well of water springing up into everlasting life.”
.”
Just *another* denomination that doesn’t give a rip about what GOD has to say about it, what hypocrites to call themselves Christian. Jesus, the same yesterday, today, and forever!

How can there be any reconciliation between two diametrically opposed view points?
Reconciliation in this case means, “We won, you lost, but we’re willing to help you get over it.:

The PCUSA is irretrievably apostate under current management.
The lampstand is being removed.
We have broken our Lord’s heart.
While some like moi will remain and pray to remain faithfully, the 1.7 will shrink and shrink and shrink…
The PCUSA is the antithesis of Romans 12:1-2.
Sick, dark, and demonically…
Sooooooo sad.

the fellowship you leave behind, if your words are any indication, will be the richer and closer to serving God, for the loss of you.
good luck, and Gods blessings to you, as a one of Gods beloved children, wherever you land.
Why do men keep thinking they have the authority to change God’s rules?
Mark– you’re pretty good at decoding liberal euphemisms.

We offer you a patronizing pat on the head.

What kind of sales pitch will they come up with? Obviously it won’t be backed by
THE LAW.

Lisa-
These are not real men or women – Christ warned us that they would come – They are now here.

I doubt it . . .

Perhaps you would agree with me that the men (and women) you speak of regard themselves as gods.
