We serve the God who calls people unto Himself and then sends them out as ambassadors of His Son, Jesus Christ, that the world He so loves might come to know Him and His all sufficient grace. Every Christian is then a missionary. Some are sent to walk across the room, others are sent next door across the drive, and still others are sent around the world across the sea. Pray today for the missionaries of Christ – starting with yourself and extending to those who serve in faraway places – seeking to extend the good news of the Gospel of Christ to more and more people.
Here is one of their stories…
(You are encouraged to post prayers for specific missionaries in the comment section below. However, please do not post the names nor countries of missionaries serving in sensitive regions of the world where posting such information would compromise their safety or their ministry.)

UPDATE: SECOND U.S. CITIZEN TESTS POSITIVE FOR EBOLA
A second U.S. citizen working in Liberia has tested positive for the Ebola virus. Nancy Writebol is employed by SIM in Liberia and was helping the joint SIM/Samaritan’s Purse team that is treating Ebola patients at the Case Management Center in Monrovia. SIM manages ELWA Hospital there, and the two organizations have been working closely to combat Ebola since the current outbreak began in Liberia in March.
Writebol is married with two children. We request that her family’s privacy be respected during this difficult time, and please keep them in your prayers.
