The Prayer guide for the 8 days of General Assembly is offered to the PCUSA by the Presbyterian Lay Committee in partnership with Presbyterian Elders in Prayer.
Lift up the Morning Worship, the fifth and sixth GA Committee meetings, and the “free evening” for most commissioners Pray that commissioners will use that time for rest and discernment, before the business meetings and voting processes resume. Pray especially for those commissioners on the Marriage and Middle East Committees so they can resist the call of culture or outside influences, and see their way clear to focus on the Father’s will.
O Lord, our heavenly Father, Almighty and everlasting God, who hast safely brought us to the beginning of this day; defend us in the same with Thy mighty power; and grant that this day we fall into no sin, neither run into any kind of danger; but that all our doings, being ordered by Thy governance, may be righteous in Thy sight.
