Women of Faith Award nominees sought

LOUISVILLE, Ky. – Nominations are being sought for the 2001 Women of Faith Awards.
The awards are presented each year by Women’s Ministries of the Presbyterian Church (USA) during the Women of Faith Awards Breakfast at General Assembly.
The 2001 theme, taken from I Cor. 12: 7-11, is “Birthing Health and Wholeness. According to a release from Women’s Ministries, a program area of the National Ministries Division, the awards “will recognize those women who live a vision of God’s new day, overcoming brokenness and fragmentation – peacemakers, parish nurses, those in the health professions, pastoral counselors, therapists, midwives, etc.”
A nominee must be a living Presbyterian woman, lay or clergy, whose life exemplifies faith in God and commitment to the mission of the PC(USA) and who is a leader in the denomination or a related ecumenical or global arena. General Assembly staff members are ineligible.
