In our chaotic world, it is easy to miss the importance of relationships with others, ourselves, and even God. We lose focus on the priorities God directs us to in our lives. Often we seem to have no focus at all. God gives us clear direction to be intentional in all of our relationships.
Take this opportunity to consider a few ways to add intentionally back into your life. I encourage you to keep a journal to measure your steps and see how far it takes you.
- Focus on others instead of yourself. When you focus your attention outward to help others, it reduces a self-centered attitude while providing a sense of satisfaction that will overcome the concerns in your own life.
- Focus living today instead of worrying about the future. By being focused on the present day, you can enjoy the relationships and experiences God has placed in your life. “Therefore, do no worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own.” Matthew 6:34 NIV
