Amendment A is not the only constitutional issue on the ballot for the presbyteries in the Presbyterian Church (USA).
The others include Amendment 01-H, which would give certified Christian educators – such as directors of Christian education – voice and vote at presbyteries if they are also ordained elders. The amendment would further increase the voice of church professionals in governance and polity.
Another proposal, Amendment 01-B, would institutionalize the term “bishop” for pastors of local congregations.
All seven issues are important. Read The Layman’s synopsis. Ask your pastor to provide additional background material. Pray that your commissioner will vote to uphold the Biblical and confessional standards of the church.
