I attended a parent meeting last night in preparation for the new school year at Franklin Classical School. The school’s founder, Dr. George Grant, reminded us all of our calling and invited us each to always do the next right thing. His remarks reminded me of the continual need to be reminded of primary things.
So, from George Grant’s blog, here is “a shorthand summation of the Biblical worldview in just four verses:”
The earth is the Lord’s and everything in it, the world and all those who live in it. (Psalm 24:1)
Every knee shall bow, in heaven and on earth and under the earth, and every tongue confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father. (Philippians 2:10-11)
I will build My church, and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it. (Matthew 16:18)The kingdom of this world is the kingdom of our God and of His Christ, and He shall reign forever and ever. (Revelation 11:15)

In September of each year, we have an event which is called SEE YOU AT THE POLE. On this day, students and others from schools on a volunteer basis gather around a flagpole, join hands, and pray. The experience is powerful. In todays secular world, we need prayer more than ever. On August 28, 2015, a new movie called THE WARROOM will hit the movie screens. The film talks about the power of prayer. A SEE YOU AT THE POLE event is featured in the movie. Take the time to go see this powerful film.
